The Golden Hop Logo Concept
The Golden Hop is a fictional brewery and restaurant client. The imaginary client brief requested a logo for their sign, beer labels, and more. The key themes the client wanted to hit were "friendly", "local", and "traditional, but familiar".
Process
The initial inspiration for the design came from classic gold coin imagery. As the design progressed, though, it became clear that idea meant the hops image was given more visual importance than the name of the establishment itself. Ultimately I landed on something felt traditional, but not too stuffy. A gold foil accent tied the design together.
